An 18th century painted breakfront bookcase based on designs by Thomas Chippendale and possibly by Wright and Elwick. Locks and hinges original.

A George I red and gilt japanned bureau-cabinet, decorated overall with Chinese landscapes, the broken arch pediment above a pair of later beveled mirror-paneled doors enclosing a fitted interior, the lower section with a fall-front over one simulated and three graduated drawers on bun feet.

Notes: The cabinet is said to have come from the collection of Frank Sweetenham, G.C.M.G., C.H. Sweetenham was appointed the British Resident in Kuala Lumpur, Malasia in 1880, when the city became the capital of what was then called Selangor.
Paint restored.

A George III and later mahogany breakfront bookcase. The bookcase with a broken arch pediment over four honeycomb mullioned doors, the lower section comprised of paneled cabinet doors, some revealing stacks of drawers. Top associated and perhaps of later date.

A rare George III cocus-wood cabinet-on-chest, veneered overall in lozenge patterns, the cornice with central pediment above a glazed door, flanked on each side by a narrow glazed door, the lower section with a drawer above a shallow drawer with ratcheted slope, above three drawers, on bracket feet.

A fine and unusual George I burl walnut bureau-cabinet, the broken arched pediment above arched mirrored doors, the interior fitted with a removable compartment containing pigeon-holes, drawers and enclosed cupboard over a feather-strung lower section in two parts. One interior drawer labelled in ink indistinctly 'Mr. WHITROD, Horseheath Lodge, nr. Linton, Cambs'. Finials replaced.

Regency neo-classical ebony-inlaid mahogany breakfront bookcase in the Grecian style after a design by George Oakley. The pediment centering anthemion decoration over glazed doors flanked by anthemia decorated stiles; the base with conforming decoration to the stiles and with brass molded doors.

A fine and rare early 18th C. Dresden blue, cream, gilt, and polychrome-japanned bureau bookcase, in the manner of Martin Schnell retaining it's original mirror plates. The brilliance of the original color palette has been remarkably preserved in this bookcase, and the quality of its decoration is exceptional.

Large George III mahogany breakfront bookcase by John Johnston, with a cavetto cornice over three pairs of glazed panelled doors; the lower section with highly figured panelled doors with moldings and corner roundels, enclosing mahogany-lined drawers,on a plinth base. Metalwork apparently original.
