A George III giltwood settee with a shell-carved crest rail above a padded back and seat and with foliate carved arms, raised on tapering leaf carved legs; the seat inscribed '217 Hornby', possibly the name of the cabinet-maker.  A very similar pair of benches inscribed 'Hornby 5715' were sold by Christie's in April 2004 as part of their Important English Furniture Sale.

A Continental rosewood upholstered chaise with a high U-form back and a carved S-scroll endrail, on a plinth base.

A George II upholstered carved mahogany wing-back settee, with lion-mask cabriole legs ending in paw feet.

Rare pair of George III black painted and floral decorated upholstered settees, retaining their original decoration; the padded backs continuing through the downswept arms, raised on six tapering square legs ending in spade feet.  The design for these settees was clearly inspired by a published George Hepplewhite design. from

Regency ebonized and upholstered recamier with gilt stencilled decoration, one high S-scrolled end and raised on splayed legs. (Painting restored.)

Regency upholstered and brass-mounted mahogany settee, the reeded seatrial continuing up to outscrolled arms with turned rails, and with splayed reeded legs ending in casters.  This settee is a Regency interpretation of the Grecian couch, with sinuous curves and scrolled ends.  See Hinckley's

Exceptional Chinese red lacquer chairback settee, each of the four chairbacks with scrolled arched toprails, curved supports and solid splats, the shepherd's crook arms and drop-in padded seat on a molded seatrail and shell and bellflower carved cabriole legs on claw and ball feet.
